Frances Harlow

Frances Harlow is the Co-Founder and President of Arcana Audio. Frances launched Arcana Audio after four years of leading her own production studio and consultancy. Prior to this, she was the  Deputy Creative Director for Gimlet Media, where she guided a team of producers that pioneered branded podcasts. Her work includes eBay’s “Open for Business,” “DTR - The Official Tinder Podcast,” and Blue Apron’s James Beard-nominated “Why We Eat What We Eat.” 


Frances started her career in public radio, first at WGBH News in Boston, and later with the Emmy-winning team at NPR’s Planet Money podcast. She has had the honor of speaking at the Third Coast International Audio Festival and PodcastDay24 conference, jurying at the D&AD Festival, running workshops at CUNY Journalism School and PEN World Voices Festival, and serving as a SoundPath mentor for the Association of Independents in Radio.

Abbie Ruzicka

Abbie Ruzicka is the co-founder and CEO of Arcana Audio. As an Executive Producer with close to 15 years of experience in podcast and radio production, she has developed, produced, and launched dozens of new shows for Spotify, Gimlet Media, NPR, WGBH, Nike, Adobe, Chanel, and many more.

Most recently she was and Executive Producer at Spotify, where she led a new show development team for Gimlet. Prior to this, she led production for Gimlet Creative, an award-winning custom creative agency, where she worked with Fortune 500 companies to develop new podcasts and audio ad campaigns. 


She got her start in radio as a call-screener for the NPR show “Car Talk,” where she developed a love for corny jokes and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
