Arcana Audio is a new independent production company that makes best-in-class original podcasts and branded audio. At Arcana we have deep roots in the audio industry, with our sights set on the future of podcasting. We work collaboratively with our partners to create shows and audio advertising that stand out from the rest.
We are looking for skilled, creative, and kind Producers to join our team as we develop our next slate of stand-out shows. Our team comes from diverse backgrounds, embraces experimentation, and supports one another.
The Gig
Arcana Audio is looking for an organized and experienced Producer
to help us pilot a new show about wealth, access, and what we leave behind for future generations.
The ideal candidate has experience developing new shows, knows how to produce interviews, cut and edit audio, and how to write and structure podcast scripts. This person has a strong commitment to excellence and is eager to work collaboratively to make the best possible end product. They are genuinely excited about the challenge of partnering with a client to tell stories that fulfill their goals, while also putting our listeners first.
This is a part-time gig for approximately 8 weeks. The ideal candidate is based in New York and can be available for in-person recordings.
What You'll Do

Collaborate closely with Arcana and its client to develop and produce a pilot episode of a new original podcast

Book guests

Produce in-studio interviews and possibly gather tape in the field

Write and edit scripts, participate in group edits

Help direct and record tracking sessions with host

Assemble rough cuts in ProTools and edit audio

Incorporate feedback into script and episode

Participate in group mix edits
What You Have
-
At least 3 years of experience producing audio content.
You know how to record out in the field, how to work with a new host, and how to put an episode of a podcast together smoothly. -
Experience working directly with hosts on research and recording

A love for idea generation, coupled with a keen organizational sense and a proven ability to execute against deadlines

Familiarity with Pro Tools

An interest in finance, money, and business. Experience working on a show in this genre is a plus.
